Reimagining Governance: Participatory Models for a New India

An analysis of participatory governance models and their potential to strengthen democracy through institutional reform and civic engagement.

Abstract: This paper examines participatory governance models in the Indian context, drawing from case studies across five states. It argues that decentralisation and direct citizen involvement in policy-making lead to more accountable and effective governance outcomes. The study recommends structural reforms that embed participatory mechanisms at every administrative level.

Through a comparative study of G20, UN, and WTO reform efforts, the author proposes a framework for preserving cooperative architecture while accommodating legitimate power transitions and rising multipolarity.

Comparative insights into fiscal strategies and economic resilience in the post-pandemic era, drawing on experiences from BRICS and ASEAN nations.
